Thank goodness for Bachans

Brycee received a special "just because" gift from his great grandma or Bachan as he calls her. She made him a special Buzz Lightyear blanket and BOY does he love it. He hugged it super tight and then laid it on the floor and laid down on it. He was so happy and felt super loved! THANK YOU BACHAN Inez!! You are so talented!!!

Camping Trip - Blue Lake

We just returned from our 2nd year of camping at Blue Lake. If it weren't for the fishing and great friends.....well I am not sure I would go there :) There is no hot water, showers or flushing toilets. The place is infested with mosquitos.....we wear insect repellant in our hair and spray every 30 minutes. When I tried to close my eyes on the way home I felt like they were still buzzing all around my head.... The fishing however is great. Needless to say the boys had a BLAST. They loved fishing, playing in the water, rolling in the dirt and being with their friends. It was a special and fun time in the great outdoors.

Brycee talks about Uncle Max's mom and someone that KNOWS EVERYTHING!

Today the boys were outside eating their icees with Nana.  Brycee was talking away about his Uncle Max.  Then he asked Nana.....  "Do you know Uncle Max's mom?"  She said "No" and then Brycee said yes you do.  Tyler said "Auntie Kristeen?"  Brycee exclaimed in a LOUD Brycee voice "YES...  Auntie Kristeen is Uncle Max's mom and she KNOWS EVERYTHING!"

Jan Ken Po - Akio is in 1st grade

Jan Ken Po gakko started this week and it has been such a positive experience. Our friend is Tyler's teacher....Sensei Ellen. Sorry Ellen, but I have to put history here..... Ellen's grandfater officiated the marriage of bachan and jichan in camp and Ellen's father officiated the marriage for nana and papi.

Anyways....Tyler or should I say Akio is loving Jan Ken Po gakko. He is learning his colors, numbers and body parts. He sampled and made different foods this week. Today they had games at the park. It was a lot of fun!!!!

Below is a website that has pictures that Sensei Ellen took during the week and at Undokai

Thanks to Auntie Margie, Tyler has the Hashimoto family mon for his t-shirt. The mon is supposed to follow by gender. So technically the boys should take Blake's dad's family mon. Unfortunately they do not have it. So luckily Auntie Margie took a picture of jichan's father's tombstone while she was in Japan. On the tombstone was the Hashimoto family mon. That is what the boys will use. (in the picture attached......Tyler is on the left)

One of Brycee's favorite birthday gifts!

Brycee received what he calls his "cool shoes" from COOL AND HIP Auntie Kristeen :) She bought him the perfect gift for his birthday this year.... Similar shoes to his daddy!!! Brycee loves them.
No he is not wearing floods.....daddy is holding up his pants so you can see the shoes.
