1st day of school

Bryce started kindergarten on August 17th. Things were so different with the 2nd child. Tyler was very clingy. No tears the first day, but very clingy. Bryce was quick to shout out "BYE MOM!" By the 2nd day of school he was already saying bye to me at the front gate. Tyler needed me to walk him to class and still does in 2nd grade ;) Bryce is lucky, because he has the same teacher that Tyler had in kinder.

Tyler's 2nd grade year started with the office tracking me down when I was picking up Bryce. Ty had a 99 degree fever, so I brought him home. Good thing!! It shot up to 102 within 2 hours. Poor guy. The fever had gone down by the next morning, but we kept him out of school for another day. He did say to me after he returned to school "Mom I am so lucky I get such nice teachers. I really like 2nd grade!" Hope that lasts!

SJ friends that we love and miss!

Tyler got to spend time with his buddy Dayna this summer too!!

Brady in town!!! YIPPEE!

Tyler received a surprise when I picked him up from Jan Ken Po Gakko.....  BRADY!!!  Amazing how these two kids can just pick up from where they left off.  Tyler has not seen Brady for 7 months (for kids that is a long time).  Tyler and Brady just clicked again....like they never separated.  We love the Muramoto Family.  When Brycee saw one of his favorite uncles....."Uncle Grapes".....he jumped into his arms!!!

Ty and Bryce's 3 sisters and little brother : )

One of mommy's closest friends lives in Elk Grove.....  She is the world's "SUPER MOM".  Tyler and Bryce call her "super Auntie Ellen"!!  Mommy calls her "Mommy's therapist".  Daddy well he is just grateful Auntie Ellen listens to mommy so he doesn't have to.

Emily or Emzo as we like to call her had anemia and was hospitalized.  She scared us.... and Ty missed her at Jan Ken Po Gakko....   We are soooo happy she is doing better and everything is almost back to normal!!  YIPPEEE!!!

We love you Uncle Gus, Auntie Ellen, Lindsey, Emzo, Molly girl and Mitchie!!!  Thank you for all you do for us.

Tyler - CYBL

Tyler decided to play another season in the city basketball league, CYBL 1st/2nd grade.  We were surprised, because we didn't know anybody and we didn't know the coach.  So for Tyler, the apprehensive, shy kid, to say "YES I still want to play eventhough I don't know anyone", we were shocked.

He had a lot of fun and his coach selected him for the All Star game.  He wore his medal all day and was so proud.

Brycee is done with preschool

I have been really bad about posting pictures on our blog.  We have some grandparents and a sister in law that are very disappointed in me....  So I will be updating this blog daily to keep our family up to date with all that has been going on this summer...

In May Brycee turned 5 and he also had his preschool graduation....  Our boys are so lucky to have both sets of grandparents.  We love them so much!!

Grandpa = FUN

The boys always have so much fun with grandma and grandpa :)  When they go to San Jose, Ty and Bryce can get grandpa to do just about anything.  Blake will come home from work and Grandpa will be sitting on the couch with a bowl on his head.  Bryce is standing across from him throwing bean bags in the bowl.  The bags are hitting grandpa in the face and everywhere else but the bowl.  One time Blake arrived home and Bryce was shooting darts at grandpa's glasses. He was trying to make them stick.....  sigh....

Well we got their latest bonding moment on video.  A pillow fight.  Grandpa was having a lot of fun :) and of course the boys were too.

Bryce the gentleman.....

Blake took Bryce and his friend to the fish hatchery after church. Bryce made sure she had fish food once she ran out.... Brycee is goofy, but is a gentleman.

Flower Offering

Today we had our Hanamatsuri celebration at church. Tyler's 1st grade dharma school teacher selected Tyler to do the flower offering along with another 1st grade girl. My pictures did not come out so great :( But here they are. Poor guy was so nervous.... but he did great! Ahhhh it was one of those proud mommy moments.

multilingual BRYCEE!

Back in September we ran into Bryce's daycare/preschool teacher at a restaurant. We were talking to her about his pronunciation in Spanish and she said....he knows FRENCH too! I was shocked. And there he stood in the restaurant at 4 years old and counted to 20 in French. I have no idea if he is saying it correctly though.

Tyler and Papi's snowman

It snowed a little in Reno on Monday. Papi and Tyler ran out and made a snowman! Thank you for sending the picture Auntie Faye!

When is Uncle Blake going to babysit me again?

Awhile back Blake babysat Tyler and Bryce's friend while the moms had a "girls night out". Well apparently their friend had a lot of fun! She has asked a few times "When is Uncle Blake going to babysit me again?" One time when we were at church she sweetly said to her mom and dad "Don't you need to go somewhere?" So we had to arrange another get together. I had to ask if "Auntie Shelley is allowed to stay too" :) It was a fun day! So nice to have another female in the house!!!

1st Grade Service Chair

We often get reports from Tyler's teachers that he is sooooo quiet and shy and needs to participate more in class. So this was a huge accomplishment for our boy. The weeks leading up to this church event he would mention often "mom I don't want to talk at church" "mom I can't do it" "mom I am not going to look at anybody" "mom I don't want to do it". But the morning came and he knew his attempts at "getting out of it" were not going to work. And HE DID IT! Notice no eye contact though....just like he said :)

Sports Fun Weekend

Tyler had so much fun on Saturday. He played in the Baron's Jamboree and had a blast! It is such a fun experience for the kids. Made it even more special when he saw Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Kristeen. Then after his 2 games, he had to play his CYBL playoff game. The kid was exhausted and grumpy :) Highlights: He stole the ball and made a basket at the Baron's Jamboree and making both of his free throws at CYBL. Mommy's highlights: He only cried a couple of times when he got hurt. Our strategy on the sidelines: when he falls to the ground so he won't cry "DON'T LOOK AT HIM"! We say it in unison. Yep have everyone trained.
Brycee had a great day too. He got to meet his tee ball coaches and teammates at picture day! Then he made a new friend at Ty's CYBL game. Brycee asked if she could come home with us and gave her a big hug when we left. Such the charmer.

Stretching before daddy's game

Our Daddy is sooooo old :) that he needs to stretch for about 30 minutes before he leaves to his basketball games.....where he probably has to stretch for another 30 minutes before he plays.

Happy Birthday Daddy and Auntie Kristeen!

Tyler made Auntie Kristeen and Daddy a YUMMY Kahlua cake for their (BLEEEEEEP) birthday :)
