Our last days of summer

The boys spent most of their summer at the Lakeside Clubhouse swimming pool. We spent the warm summer days eating lunch and hanging out with Tyler and Bryce's friends. It was a lot of fun and both boys were a lot more comfortable in the water this year. Bryce became a little fish and Tyler only took his floaties off a few times this year. Being the cautious one, Tyler would scream everytime we tried to take the floaties off :)

Today was officially mommy's last day before having to go back to work. This year she will be working 4 days a week instead of only 3. At work, they really needed more Speech Pathologists... so mommy agreed (just yesterday) to pick up an extra day this year. sigh..... For those with high school kids that do not know what to major in.... Speech and Language Pathology is the route to go!!! There is a high demand and not enough coming out of graduate school. So the jobs are there and they treat you good, because they are scared you will leave ; )

Ring Around the Rosie

This was so cute. I had to post it for the grandparents. Nothing like a nursery rhyme and three cute little ones to put a smile on your face.

Brycee and his friends

Bryce gets pulled to all of Tyler's practices...soccer, baseball and basketball. Poor guy. Needless to say, he finds ways to have fun and makes new friends...

As most know, Bryce loves SPACE. Ever since he was about 18 months old he would stare at the moon and say "moo". He could see it from the living room in our home and was mesmerized by it. Let's not forget his 2 1/2 year obsession with Buzz Lightyear. Which lucky for us, he is going to be again this year for Halloween!! YES!!! Amazingly he continues to love space, stars, rockets and planets. In one of the pictures he is educating his friend about the planets through flashcards. During their deep conversation, he shared his dreams of becoming an astronaut. As Bryce and his friend looked at the pictures of the astronauts in space, in the rocket and walking on the moon, he told her "that is what I am going to do". He also told her "Girls can go to space too".

Do your Ears Hang Low....

Mr. Brady  has inspired Bryce to sing :) As soon as we get home, he wants me to video him so he can watch it on the computer. Hmmmm a little vain??? Well here you go... I know Nana, Papi, Grandma and Grandpa will appreciate it :) hahaha

Tyler starts 1st grade

The day began with a walk with Tyler's buddy to school. Prior to the "walk" he talked about how he did not want to go to school.  I think he was the only kid that was NOT looking forward to school starting :) Promptly at 2:35 we picked him up and were looking forward to all the positive comments from Tyler about how much he LOVED 1st grade. Tyler's first comment to us after his first day was "Mommy 1st grade is a long day. You told me it wasn't that long. It's boring." sigh....Oh well some kids love school and some do not. It did get a little better later on during the day...he shared that his teacher is nice and super pretty. And of course he is happy that his buddies are in the same class with him again this year!! He also mentioned... being the "rigid, rule follower in school ONLY" that he is... the names of kids that "were naughty". hahaha. Let the HOMEWORK begin!!!!

Silverbullets Soccer Party

Bryce had a fun 2nd year of soccer. He loves getting trophies : )

Bryce Roller Skating..... roll, roll, pick : )

Brycee went roller skating for his 2nd time.

Jook, jook, jook......yummy!

Brycee loves Jook (I do not know how to spell it). It is a chinese dish made of rice, broth and meat. Auntie Kim makes it for him all the time and most recently Auntie Renee's mommy made it for him. He loves it!!!

When it comes to Jook....Bryce throws all of his manners out the door.  Poor Auntie Kim.  Whenever Bryce sees her he doesn't even say "hi" anymore.  His greeting to Kim is "I want some Jook".

Tyler's NEW Bike

Tyler loved his new birthday bike from Nana and Papi.  Daddy and Tyler spent the afternoon on Ty's birthday riding their bikes.  Daddy even did tricks like the clowns do at the circus :)

Tyler turns 6!

So Tyler pretty much had a birthday marathon this year!  Early in the week, Tyler received a Happy birthday video from his buddy, Brady in Seattle....make sure you visit the Muramoto blog to see it!! Tyler was so touched.

He spent some time with his buds in San Jose, came back to a birthday party with his Sacramento/Elk Grove pals and then had the BEST birthday EVER with his family here in Elk Grove!!!  Nana, Papi, Uncle Kevin, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Kristeen, Matthew, Missy, Auntie Faye and Sarah came to visit Tyler on August 2nd!!!

Tyler had the best time ever and Brycee summed it up perfectly "We have such a nice family"!!!
